On Saturday, August 2, 2008 the Greater Portland LEGO Railroaders featured a small but well detailed display at the 8th annual Fun In The Park community festival in Wilsonville, Oregon.

This is GPLR’s 3rd year displaying at the event, and every year we look forward to it!

Fun In The Park is an all-day Summertime event, featuring many fun-spirited activities for kids and adults alike!

Members: Frank Filz, Bob Kojima, Richard Lange, Thomas Prill, Jeremy Rear, Sheldon Simonis, Steve Barile, and our newest member Jeff Johnson all participated.

If you missed us, we will be back next August, 2009. In the mean time, come check us out at one of our annual participating events, BrickCon 2008 (October) 2008 and GTX PDX (February) 2009.

GPLR participated in their first public "train show" since the demise of the annual PDX GATS show (January 2005) - Enter...Great Train Expo (PDX) 2008

New member Thomas Prill coordinated the efforts, and the layout turned out to be a fabulous one for the club!
